Sell Your Mazda

Lightweight Icons and Rotary Legends. We’ll Buy Your Mazda

Mazda has produced some of the most memorable driver's cars in recent decades.

From the lightweight, fun-to-drive MX-5 to the rare and collectable RX-7 and RX-8 rotary-engined coupes, the brand has earned a reputation for innovation, balance, and sheer driving enjoyment.

At Church's, we understand what makes these cars special, and we're particularly interested in acquiring clean, low-mileage examples with strong provenance.

It's important to note that we're only looking for Mazda's performance icons such as the MX-5, RX-7, and facelift RX-8. Sorry, but we're not interested in buying mainstream models such as the Mazda2, Mazda3, or Mazda6.

Why Sell Your Mazda to Church’s?

Whether it’s the modern MX-5 or the highly collectible RX-7, we understand the Mazda appeal. Selling these cars privately can be time-consuming, with buyers often undervaluing rare models or picking apart cosmetic details. At Church’s, we treat these cars with the respect they deserve and make the process fair, straightforward, and professional.

You’ll benefit from:

  • Accurate, market-reflective valuations
  • Direct communication with Milo or Ryan, with no automated systems or call centres
  • Secure same-day bank transfer at the point of handover
  • Nationwide collection arranged to suit you
  • DVLA paperwork and cherished plate transfers handled

The Models We’re Looking For

Mazda MX-5 (2019 onwards, especially post-2023 facelift)

Since its debut in 1989, more than one million MX-5s have been sold, making it the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car in history. The 2023 facelift brought updated styling, improved technology, and refinements that make recent versions particularly desirable. We’re interested in MX-5 soft-tops or RFs that are less than five years old, especially those with low mileage, full dealer or specialist history, and desirable extras.

Mazda RX-7

A cult icon, thanks to its rotary power, lightweight design, and timeless lines. Discontinued in 2002, RX-7s are now highly collectible. We want low-mileage, well-preserved examples, preferably in factory condition, with complete documentation and maintenance history. These cars are rare in the UK market, often fewer than five are available nationwide at any one time.

Mazda RX-8 (2008–2012 facelift models)

The RX-8 offered four-door practicality (via its suicide rear “freestyle” doors), near-50/50 weight distribution, and the unique feel of a rotary engine. The facelift models (2008-2012) refined many earlier issues and are viewed more favourably now. We favour ones with full history, low mileage, and clean condition.

Market Commentary

RX-7s, particularly well-looked-after examples with full history, are exceedingly rare - current UK listings often number fewer than five at any one time, which means when a clean one appears it commands a strong valuation.

Recent MX-5 resale values have remained stable post-facelift, especially for RF/soft-top models with low mileage and good servicing, thanks to continued demand from driving enthusiasts. RX-8s from the 2008-2012 facelift period are also seeing increasing interest, particularly from buyers seeking a combination of uniqueness, design, and that rotary character, though condition and service history increasingly differentiate value.

What We’re Looking For

  • MX-5s (2019 onwards, post-2023 facelift preferred) with full Mazda dealer or recognised specialist history
  • RX-7s in collector-grade condition — original, low-mileage cars with documented provenance
  • RX-8 facelift models (2008–2012) with sensible mileage, two keys, and full history

The cars we buy are in clean, original condition, although tasteful, documented upgrades may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Vehicles should also be free from accident damage, poor-quality modifications, or incomplete records.
