PURCHASED FROM TRIUMPH AS AN APPROVED USED MOTORCYCLE IN 2024 BY ONE OF MY NEIGHBOURS AND COVERED BY WARRANTY SINCE, SO THIS IS A BIKE I KNOW WELL AND HAS NOT WANTED FOR ANYTHING.
The Tiger Sport 660 is quite simply a brilliant all-round motorcycle and it is easy to understand why they have been so popular. Triumph’s superb 660cc three-cylinder engine produces around 80PS and gives a lovely combination of smooth low-speed manners, punchy mid-range performance and plenty of top-end power when you want to enjoy it. It has that distinctive character that you get from a Triumph triple and feels noticeably different from many of the parallel-twin middleweights on the market.
It is equally at home being used as an everyday bike, a weekend toy or a proper lightweight sports tourer. The upright riding position, good wind protection and comfortable ergonomics make longer journeys very easy, while its relatively light weight and agile chassis mean it is still a genuinely enjoyable bike on a good A or B road.
Standard specification is excellent and includes Triumph Shift Assist quickshifter for clutchless up and down changes, ride-by-wire throttle, Road and Rain riding modes, switchable traction control, ABS, TFT/LCD colour display, full LED lighting, adjustable windscreen, Showa suspension and the neat underslung stainless-steel silencer.
What makes this particular example especially attractive is the additional equipment and in my opinion the best colour. The genuine Triumph integrated panniers are a really useful addition and look part of the bike rather than an aftermarket extra the Hi viz stripes can easily be removed if they are not your cup of tea. The Triumph OEM auxiliary fog lights however add both practicality and do aid safety in rain, mist and certain low light situations. The additional belly fairing really finishes the lower half of the bike and side by side with a bike without it gives it a more substantial and purposeful appearance, the fitted tracker is another worthwhile extra and could help with insurance.
Having been purchased from Triumph as an Approved Used bike in 2024 and remaining under warranty since, it has been properly looked after and maintained and presents as a really nice, well cared-for example.
To politely help manage expectations I feel the price is reasonable to reflect the quality of the bike against others in the market and is where it needs to be to work commercially.
